A little bit about The Ventura Jazz Orchestra
The Ventura Jazz Orchestra is a classic, traditional big band featuring 17 musicians and vocalist Donna Greene recreating and performing your favorite music from the swing era and beyond. Having performed throughout the Southern California area, the VJO brings to life the music that conjures up good memories of life with your sweetheart, your parents or even your grandparents, depending into which decade you were born.
The Ventura Jazz Orchestra has a horn section that includes five saxophone players, four trombonists, and four trumpet players. It also has a rhythm section… piano, guitar, bass, and drums… along with vocalist Donna Greene (yes, that’s a BIG BAND!). The Ventura Jazz Orchestra is available for parties, weddings, dances, receptions, fundraisers and corporate events in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties and beyond.
